Dec 20, 2021 · Good to know, Tahoe is a Good test for winter tires. I lived there in the 90s and mounted studded snow tires on my Explorer for the winter. Always laughed at the Audis and Subarus that would try and cross the center lane snow berms and get high centered.

May 15, 2023 · I swap in the OEM Badlands wheels and KO2s when going off-roading. My main thought was not wearing down $340 tires for daily driving when I could be wearing down $180 tires. If KO2s have a shorter life, that further supports my decision. My "street" tires are Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT. I chose them in part because they are 3-peak rated.

Jan 27, 2025 · The stock Goodyear MT's aren't mud terrain, they are multi-terrain tires. But they still catch/throw rocks like most truck tires. Depends where you're looking. Ford calls them Mud-Terrain but Goodyear has always called them Multi-Terrain or Maximum Traction.

Aug 27, 2024 · Namely three slow leak flats from rock flakes working their way into the siping. Seems like the siping on my "Badyear" tires is not reinforced enough, if at all, and combined with too few plies causes the tires to be highly unreliable. They wear ok, meaning the tread is still robust after 40k and traction is pretty good, but I'm done fixing them.
