May 8, 2024 · The M4 11" keyboard is 581 grams/ 1.28 lbs. The iPad M4 11" iPad is .97 lbs so you have a setup that is a whopping 1.3 lbs! For comparison my MacBook Pro is 1799 grams/3.69 or 4.0 lbs. This brick of a keyboard is fine if you use your iPad only on a desktop table but is useless if sitting on a couch or in bed.

Jul 31, 2023 · If so, remove the iPad from the Keyboard - and carefully/gently clean the smart connector contacts on both the iPad and keyboard with a soft pencil eraser (a drafting-film eraser is ideal). Ensure that the contacts on both iPad and keyboard are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two.

Attached the iPad and the keyboard keys are not working. If I plug in the USB-C to the Keyboard it shows charging, so that functions. But, none of the keys or trackpad show on the iPad screen.

If I unplug and replug the power cable into the keyboard, charging works fine. On my older iPad Air, if I attached the iPad to its keyboard, it would just start charging.

Also, when I’m typing and press my “space bar” is closes my recent app I’m typing in.
