The tradition of giving endures as the Museum continues to secure transformational gifts and promised gifts of art on the occasion of its new, once-in-a-century facility, under the auspices of a “campaign for art” undertaken in 2021

The Princeton University Art Museum seeks to bring the visual arts to the heart of the Princeton University experience for students, scholars, and visitors of all kinds as one of the world’s greatest comprehensive museums in an academic setting.

Construction of a bold and welcoming new Museum building at the heart of the University campus is now complete, with its public opening on October 31, 2025. Announced in 2018 , the project has been overseen by Museum Director James Steward and University Architect Ron McCoy.
