Dec 14, 2024 · If you select the bitmap in Inkscape and open the Fill/Stroke dialog box you will see that it has an 'opacity' slider at the bottom. Making this less than 100% will make it partially transparent. This is a whole-object effect and works even on bitmaps.

Feb 3, 2020 · Using Inkscape 0.92.4 (latest ATM), is there a way to tweak the settings of the simplify path tool?. I'm specifically talking about having some control on the number of nodes the path will have after simplifying as the tool uses too few nodes, resulting in very different path shape from original.

What I'm looking for is an approach to creating "realistic" swatches for these metallic colors. I realize this is likely a very broad category, and not being fluent with graphic design, I wonder if anyone can make suggestions to approaches. I will be fumbling through this with Inkscape. Any suggestions appreciated.
