Frog Lube: how do you use it? - Brian Enos's Forums
Nov 16, 2012 · There is no difference between the paste and the liquid versions of the Frog Lube CLP. You can use one and/or the other with the same results. It really just depends on which one you like to use. I have tried both. For me, I seem to use less of the paste than the liquid.
Frog Lube review - 1911-style Pistols - Brian Enos's Forums
Apr 16, 2014 · The Frog Lube seemed to be pretty gummed up on the internals. So I put the gun on my warm engine block for a few minutes and then took it off, quickly reloaded it and it fired fine. I think the Frog Lube was causing the light strikes due to the cold temperatures.

Weapon Shield is coming off a very slick, easy to work with (like any oil) and the grease is unsurpassed on my rails. I highly recommend Weapon Shield.
Froglube, over-lubing, cold weather and minor usage - 1911Forum
Jan 25, 2014 · 2 ) I just don't think Frog Lube is the best cold weather lube period ...If you do use Frog Lube (after applying to heated metal) and letting it sit for a few minutes , be sure to wipe as much of it off as possible afterwards with a micro fiber towel - even on slide rails ...I'd be inclined to heat again then wipe again .
Testing frog lube.. out of the solvent. Hoppes elite work?
Oct 10, 2013 · Lots of frog lube haters and fans out there so I decided to test it out myself. I've shot several hundreds of rounds without any issues but I hate that it tells me I can't use petroleum based products to clean as I have tons of the conventional stuff sitting around.
Frog Lube Issues - 1911Forum
May 17, 2014 · One guy had a new Open gun, and the other was a shooting a 1911 with Frog Lube. The poor guy shooting the 1911 with Frog Lube essentially had a "bolt-action" pistol, because the gun would fail to extract or feed on every other shot. It was all because FROG LUBE SUCKS IN COLD WEATHER!
Using Frog Lube - 1911Forum
Mar 23, 2016 · A few years ago I attended a 1911 class and lubed up a brand new Kimber Tactical Custom II with it. This of course required me to totally degrease the pistol before applying the Frog Lube. I decided to use the Frog Lube because I wanted to see how the pistol would hold up; it was a two day 600 round course. It did fine.
