Having said that, I know that there is a resident at UCLA in the OMFS program (oral surgery) who is a PharmD, DMD, and will get his MD as part of the OMFS program, making him PharmD, DMD, MD. I am also a PharmD, and will be graduating from dental school this year (hopefully) with a DDS.

Feb 11, 2009 · The PharmD. is an abbreviated version for Doctor of Pharmacy. PharmD.'s cannot put PhD after their signatures because a PhD is a different type of abbrevation for a doctor. PhD stands for Doctor of Philosophy of (insert subject here).

Mar 25, 2008 · My work email sig has PharmD Rph, but I really only email my DM and a few others on occasion, not that I'm sending tons of professional correspondence to colleagues. If it's for a job application, I can see why still using a student.edu might not be the best. It kind of gives the impression you're fresh out of school vs. an experienced rph.

Aug 8, 2008 · However PharmD programs do come in some joint programs, ie: pharmD/MBA, etc., but many of those degrees are post-graduate. Bottom line: Shortened programs may be great if you are absolutely-positively certain about your goals, but, as one of my friends said "going ahead isn't always great because eventually everybody will be at the same pace".

Jun 12, 2012 · One friend took first two years of PharmD along with additional prereqs for medical school. The other finished PharmD, took some additional prereqs, and then went on to MD. Contrary to stated above, many (most?) MD programs do NOT require a bachelors degree, but just require certain prereqs (similar to PharmD programs).
