May 9, 2004 · I think perhaps before every breed turned black, a BWF, or a black baldy were herf x angus, there just wasn't anything else out there, but now if you bring a cow like ALACOWMAN's to the sale barn, it'll get sold as a BWF or black baldy.

Feb 4, 2016 · Over the years I have seen a few very few BWF and Charolais Angus cross Bulls. The resulting calves looked ok though I know hybrid vigor was compromised on mixed cows. I guess my thoughts behind the post was why wouldn't other crosses work in some situations.

Aug 27, 2010 · You can always try a homozygous tested Black Hereford bull, problem is your going thru alot of testing to come up with a set of homozygous black bwf cows ( test 300 to 500 head and you might come up with 30 of em ).
