Feb 8, 2021 · The Front differential and transmission both take 80w90 gear oil with GL5 additive. The engine oil recommended is 10w40. However 5w40, or 15w40 can also be used. Oil brand is a VERY touchy subject with people and mechanics. We exclusively use Valvoline products in our race program, however on the UTV engines we exclusively run Shell Rotella T6.

Mar 31, 2024 · When it comes to the KRX, AMSOIL makes 2 primary oils perfect for it as well as a couple alternatives: 10W40 ATV/UTV Oil, 5W40 ATV/UVT Oil. Alternatives include 0W40 Formula 4 Stroke, 5W30 ATV/UTV Oil, and you could also use their motorcycle oils if you wanted.

HOWEVER, we now recommend running Synthetic 75w90 gear oil in the front differential. This fluid is thinner and the differential locker engauges easier going in or out. The engine oil recommended is 10w40.
