My research interests include using ground-based and airborne measurements to investigate the chemistry, transport, and deposition of mercury species, trace metals, and other pollutants in the atmosphere.

My research seeks to better understand the contributions of anthropogenic emissions to concentrations of pollutants in the atmosphere over varying spatiotemporal scales (e.g. local, regional, global). I am motivated by the potential negative impacts that atmospheric emissions can have on sensitive ecosystems and human populations.

Assistant Professor of Environmental Science Lynne Gratz will be the lead principal investigator on a $1.6 million, multi-institution National Science Foundation grant.
