The Israel Aircraft Industries Kfir (Hebrew: כְּפִיר, "Lion Cub") is an Israeli all-weather multirole combat aircraft based on the French Dassault Mirage 5, with Israeli avionics and an Israeli-built version of the General Electric J79 turbojet engine.

The wings were tackled first. In looking at the Kfir compared to the Mirage 2000 (and even the Mirage III), the kfir has a very distinct leading edge sawtooth at about the 2/3 span location.

Feb 5, 2010 · We first introduced a resin conversion set for the Kfir in 1/48 in 1997 and currently stock conversion sets for Kfirs C1/F-21, C2, C7, CE, TC-2, beside many other Mirage derivates. At those times, being Esci already closed down, we choose to make our resin set fit the Mirage IIIE/5 instead of the Kfir kit.

Feb 3, 2009 · I'm building the airplane as a Swiss Mirage IIIRS which is the swiss recon variant. What's interesting is that it is a full Mirage IIIR airframe, but has a KFIR style canard that is about 70% of the size of what is on the KFIR.
