Whisk API lets you connect to our platform and use services for recipe feed and search, shopping lists, food data, and personalization. The API is HTTP-based, so it works with any language that has an HTTP library, such as cURL.

Glycemic Load combines the quantity and quality (GI) of carbohydrates providing a way to compare blood glucose values of different types and amounts of foods. Blood glucose levels rise and fall when you eat a meal containing carbohydrates. How high it rises and how long it stays high depends on GL.
