just because 1 xrp is $500 dollars, does not mean Ripple Labs could sell all of them instantly for $500 dollars each....same thing as Bezos not actually being $150 Billion...if he sold all his Amazon stock, the price would dip the more he sold. same as the market cap argument. if XRP has a mkt cap of 3T, there is not that much actual money in the network.

By definition that meant XRP held by Ripple as an asset was valued at about 1/10th its face value, being 2-3c each. But that calculation was based on the private company value of $1B. Now that the company is valued at $10B, the same (simple) calculation values XRP held by Ripple at ~20c each which is basically its current face value.
