Kiln peeking by the early morning light. Kiln is too hot to completely open, but I'm all about the peeks this morning! Witness cones show a spot on firing for the top of the kiln. So, now I can go about my bizzznessss. I fire to cone 5 (2167 degrees F) then soak the kiln to allow the heat work to take the firing results to cone 6 (2232 F) slowly without actually ever hitting that cone 6 temp.
