Police Scotland has approved a pilot project for officers in three areas in Scotland to carry and use Naloxone as an emergency antidote to opioid overdose. Around 700 officers across three test-bed areas in Greater Glasgow (Glasgow East), Forth Valley (Falkirk) and Tayside (Dundee City) Divisions will be trained in the use of the nasal spray, before deciding for themselves whether they want to participate.
