The tour we took did not take us off road. It does take you places you can go on your own but the guide took us off the paths (on foot) to places we would never have attempted on our own. We were a group of 6. The guide will get a feel for your group and will accommodate based on what he/she thinks you are wanting and capable of. He was fun and incredibly knowledgeable. Our tour ended at sunset - just stunning. Hope this helps.

He also pointed out some great locations for us to explore on our own the next day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area!
