USC Trojans sophomore guard JuJu Watkins was named a semifinalist for the 2025 Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year presented by MOLECULE on Tuesday as

JuJu Watkins' 31-point double-double propels USC to a 84-79 win over Indiana and into the Big Ten Tournament semifinal.

Coming into the game, Watkins had recorded 1,604 career points, sitting just outside the top 10 in USC women's basketball history. In the first quarter alone, the sophomore guard was able to score eight points, three of which were layups.
